July 25, 2016

This week was great! I went on exchanges with my trainer on Tuesday. It was fun to proselyte with him again. I had a ton of fun this week.  We went out teaching with President and Sister Welch Saturday.

We are teaching this man who graduated from BYU and is moving to Utah soon. He is so cool. He committed to read the book of Mormon in a week!  So we thought we would invite the Welchs, (moving to same town they came from... and where my mom is from.) Turns out they know similar people. It was awesome. Then they took us out to lunch. It was so fun getting to know them. I love them a lot.

We found him after knocking like 16 doors in the humidity. We weren't having any luck so we decided to pray to find our purpose in the area. And the next door we knocked was him! Miracles are here. We believe in miracles for sure. I know that Heavenly Father is a God of miracles. He loves us.

July 18, 2017

We had a really cool miracle this week. There is this man in the ward, he has not been active in the church for most of his life. He got full custody of his kids recently and realized that he needs to change his life. He has made huge steps in his life. Gave up drinking and smoking and all sorts of things. He is so cool and his kids are so cute. They all came to church on Sunday with his non member fiance.

I love seeing The Lord work miracles in families. They are so much happier. I love you!

Facing Disappointment in a Successful Manor

Facing Disappointment in a Successful Manor

I have learned a really cool lesson since being on my mission. It it the subject line. There will be times when we will face disappointment. Things will go wrong sometimes. But success is measured by your commitment.

"When you have done your very best, you may still experience disappointments, but you will not be disappointed in yourself. You can feel certain that the Lord is pleased when you feel the Spirit working through you." (Preach My Gospel pg. 11)

When something goes wrong the world would have you be discouraged and beat on yourself. And somehow that will drive you to do better. But that is not right. That is a false doctrine. When something goes wrong or not the way you expected you do not do that. Recognize the problem, find what didn't work and what did. Make a plan and execute it. You will be disappointed but in a way that will drive you to success.

This is what I have learned. We are children of God, The Most High. The Master and Creator. We have no right to think any less of ourselves. I love you and I hope you love you too!
