Ball is life...Ball State

Wow this week has been an adventure! MY new area is in the Muncie Young Single Adult Branch. It's a blast. My proselyting area is Ball State University. Pretty much all day everyday we talk to college kids. It's is fun. Very different than what I am used to though.

Ball State is in Muncie, Indiana. I'm back to Indiana. It was homecoming weekend so you best believe there were parties all weekend. The institute building is literally on Frat row. We are surrounded by frat houses. It's legit, but yeah tons of beer haha.

Cool experience though, we found this guy on campus who kept asking us a ton of questions, almost like he was trying to bash with us. So we set up a time to talk. We go to the return appt and he has a list of q's. Now he was really trying to cross us in our words. as we kept talking and trying to defend and explain, 

By the spirit I was able to realize that he wasn't trying to bash at all. Here is a kid that has been trying to search for truth. So I decided to bear my testimony. Then Elder Palmer bore his. The spirit filled the room. The countenance on this man changed. He then said "now I know that you both are 100% about what you believe. And now I want to read the Book of Mormon." I couldn't believe it! The Spirit touched his heart. It was amazing.

Well the call came and I am leaving Montgomery. I have spent 5 transfers here. I really loved it. I have made some amazing relationships here but I am excited to take my next Step in life. I will be going back to Indiana serving in the YSA branch on Ball State University. I am so excited. Well I love you!

The Lord's work is done in His way and in His time

Wow talk about a week full of miracles. I have really changed over the past couple of weeks and I am a lot happier. Who knew working on the little things could change your whole life and out look on it. This was one of the best weeks of my mission. one of the happiest, and really the only thing that changed was me. I changed my focus and my attitude and things are great. 

On Saturday one of the biggest miracle of my mission happened. Back in April Elder Lemieux and I taught "C" and She was baptized. Her husband was not a member and not very supportive. There were many complications at first. I was honestly intimidated by him. But after months and months, his heart was softened. He had let us come back to answer one of his questions. 

After pathetically attempting to answer his question, we listened. I really listened to what he was saying. Doing that combined with listening to the spirit, we were able to discern his thoughts. I made some observations and asked questions that only dug deeper and deeper, till we found his true need. And then at that point we were able to testify of the restoration to exactly why he needed it. 

He committed to read the Book of Mormon and come to church. I don't know how long I have waited for this to happen. A long time. Well I will testify to what Nephi has said, "The Spirit will show you all things that you need to do and that only He has the power to touch hearts." The Lord does His work in His way and in His time. I just have the privilege to be his tool. I love you all!

Tomorrow the Lord will do Wonders among you

Joshua 3:5 and Joshua 7:13 have been the theme of the week! I decided to work on my personal sanctification and to find ways I could become better. Things to stop, continue and do! IT was awesome. As soon as I made the decision to change, I felt a ton happier and I felt the spirit! 

Well we were definitely led by the spirit. We had an experience where we felt prompted to go see someone who was not in our plans. We knocked on his door and he let us in. We played some guitar and then testified of the restoration. 10 min before we knocked on the door he was praying for God to show him new opportunities. 

We had many other miracles this week. Like a ton. "Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you."

Go re-watch Conference it was awesome. How great is it that we have a living prophet to guide us in these crazy days. Love you!
