Facing Disappointment in a Successful Manor
I have learned a really cool lesson since being on my mission. It it the subject line. There will be times when we will face disappointment. Things will go wrong sometimes. But success is measured by your commitment.
"When you have done your very best, you may still experience disappointments, but you will not be disappointed in yourself. You can feel certain that the Lord is pleased when you feel the Spirit working through you." (Preach My Gospel pg. 11)
When something goes wrong the world would have you be discouraged and beat on yourself. And somehow that will drive you to do better. But that is not right. That is a false doctrine. When something goes wrong or not the way you expected you do not do that. Recognize the problem, find what didn't work and what did. Make a plan and execute it. You will be disappointed but in a way that will drive you to success.
This is what I have learned. We are children of God, The Most High. The Master and Creator. We have no right to think any less of ourselves. I love you and I hope you love you too!
